Frequently Asked Questions

Answer: BOTH –

Our goal with every customer is Excellence and Efficiency.  Depending on your specific move scenario, we utilize either option.

If you have a straight forward move with few variables, and it is at least a full day project, we most likely will create a “Flat Rate” agreement

If your move has many variables, is a “small job” (less than a full day), or has different stages, an Hourly Rate Agreement gives the flexibility.

Tipping is never expected and always appreciated.

Our standard responses are:
Typically on a full day customer’s have tipped anywhere from $20 to $100 each worker.  Depending on how hot the day was, how heavy the “stuff” was, stairs, etc.

– You can add something extra and we take that amount, divide it by the total man hours worked, then share the amount by hours each person worked.

– You can tip anyone more or less if you feel the were more or less attentive to your needs, or played a larger/smaller role in the move.

When you can hand cash to them each independently, – they love that extra attention.

Our paperwork is very clear when it comes to TV’s as this is a fragile item that has many variables when moving.

– “It is the customer’s responsibility to have TV’s off any wall mounts and ready to put in their original box on move day, in order to be included in the standard insurance. IF we remove from walls and/or move/transport without the original packaging, we do so gratuitously, AND the company is not responsible or liable for any damages.”

We do wrap them in pads and use cardboard or boxes we may have with us, AND that packaging does NOT emulate what the original form fitting foam does, thus waiver of liability is included in our paperwork.

That being said, we offer additional Assurance and Protection Options.

These items can be heavy, fragile, and costly to replace.   Tailoring an agreement that matches your wants/needs/items is key.

Fragile/Heavy/High Value: CRATE :
These items need to be crated to be insurable. It is too easy for “things to happen” when not fully protected inside a crate.  We offer crating via a 3rd party vendor.

If you DECLINE crating, we do our best to protect these items with foam (pool) noodles, cardboard, pads, etc.  This or any method for these items negates any insurances and assumes a Waiver of Liability and Responsibility.

During our estimate and walk through processes, we will point these items out and discuss your options.
